Advantages of See-Spital

Full support in our medical practice
We care for you in our Women’s Clinic from the positive pregnancy test until the birth. In this way, you have the opportunity to establish a relationship of trust with our doctors and midwives even before the birth.
Regular pregnancy checks
During pregnancy there are recommended examinations at regular intervals. In uncomplicated pregnancies, seven check-ups at intervals of four to six weeks until the due date are usually sufficient. Some of these appointments can take place during midwife consultations if the pregnancy is problem-free.
Midwife consultation
As part of our midwife consultation hours, we are happy to provide you with individual support and advice from pregnancy to birth. We are happy to offer you space for questions, fears and needs in the form of discussions and midwife checks on all aspects of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.

Contents:

  • Comprehensive pregnancy checks alternating with and/or in addition to our medical services (16-18 weeks’ gestation, 26-28 weeks’ gestation and 36-38 weeks’ gestation)
  • Holistic advice on pregnancy, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding
  • Tips & tricks for pregnancy complaints using acupuncture, homeopathy, taping and other complementary medicine
  • Pre-natal consultation (between 34-36 weeks’ gestation)
  • Consultation if you wish to have a spontaneous birth after a caesarean section
  • Postnatal consultations

Costs: Covered by health insurance

Ultrasound
Ultrasound allows us to observe the unborn child directly in the uterus. This is not only a pleasant experience for you, but can also help us to detect abnormalities at an early stage. You can have all the necessary ultrasound examinations performed at our hospital. In addition, we offer you the option of a 3D ultrasound examination.

The screenings are performed by highly specialized doctors. They offer you the best possible care even in high-risk situations and, if necessary, can perform the wide range of prenatal diagnostics thanks to their extensive experience and high-end ultrasound equipment. Of course, we are also at your disposal if you wish to obtain a second opinion from us.

Choice of doctor
Our medical team is made up of various senior doctors and assistant doctors. You are welcome to chose who from our team takes care of you and accompanies you through your pregnancy.
High-risk pregnancy
In case of pregnancy-related problems and diseases we are here for you. We accompany high-risk pregnant women with different problems. The integration of our practice at See-Spital and the good cooperation with the other departments, such as the nutrition and diabetes consultation and the pediatricians, enable you and also your child to receive direct and uncomplicated co-treatment or further treatment.
Maternity log
All women we care for during pregnancy receive a maternity passport from us. This documents all checks and examination findings, including ultrasound. The maternity passport contains data on the health of the expectant mother and the development of her child.

It is therefore not only a nice reminder of the time before the birth, but also a useful medical document that provides additional security in case of emergency, especially when traveling.

Courses

Wide range of courses
A good and comprehensive birth preparation by a midwife is recommended for the first birth. She clarifies questions, helps to reduce fears and prepares women and their partners for life with the baby.

In our childbirth preparation courses, certified midwives provide you with valuable information and practical tips on pregnancy, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding.

See-Spital holds regular evening courses during the week (five evenings in total), compact courses (one-time three hours) in German or English, and intensive courses at the weekend. In addition to courses related to childbirth (birth preparation, regression), we also offer courses for pregnancy or later for mother and baby.

The courses offered depend on the demand. The current dates and registration forms for all our courses can be found on the Obstetrics website:
